The objective for this outdoor fire source was that it be sculptural and attractive from above as well as at ground level.
Constructed from steel, it was then coated in zinc and brass and patina'd to create a sculptural look and be able to withstand the northwest elements.
The contrasting burner cover not only completes the sculpture when not in use but also keeps water and debris from getting into the natural gas burner.
